The SIOP Model

The Sheltered Instruction Observation Protocol (SIOP) Model is a framework for instruction that has been shown to be effective in improving the academic achievement of second language learners. The SIOP model has been used in classrooms across the United States for over two decades and provides teachers with guidance on how to plan and deliver effective lessons.
